The "Down-Low" on "What's Up"!!                                               2017 03 01
Monthly Update...
                                                                            Published Monthly

Focus On Progress...

The newsletter of any website should always focus on it's progress.
With that as a priority for this page, a quick glimpse each month is provided here.
In depth articles aren't needed, just a "heads up" before they're visable within the tree or site.

What Went On Last Month?
Most of the subjects have gotten the "Record Needs" item lists attached to their files.
The objective is to create a more user friendly/faster aquaintance for users and administrators.

These are generally worked at on a daily basis as time and interest allow.
Fortunately, the software used here allows sorting of subjects in numerical order.

For the benefit of readers, take heed of these important lessons learned here regarding tree progress.
The effort is made so much easier when started from the begining instead of realizing the need later.
This plan is so useful that it's benefit are worth "playing catch-up" even with thousands of entries.

What's Planned For This Month?

The remaining subjects are estimated to take approximately half of the upcoming month.
Normally, this portion would have been already passed and a new topic started, but life happens.

Finishing this segment will mark the preliminary boundry of the researched tree.
That is, these are the primary/starting points for the known family members alive today.

It is hoped that the remainder post quickly, so time is left to finish the newest subjects link data.
This is another important feature that may aid towards user interactions as well as page contributions.

The tree is at a point where most living members "should" be able to find a known ancestor.
When used as a starting reference point, they may then be able to fill in close gaps and follow along.

How Will These Help Users?
User friendly pages are of prime concern here to allow for the quick learning of website functions.
Having similar information for each individual helps toward a more speedy understanding of the site.

The primary reason for creating this method is to help insure that nothing is forgotten.
Information missed can be costly in terms of time spent having to re-do member pages later.

Additionally, it should help get individuals cleared properly for listing at a much faster overall rate!
Having a list of the individuals known needs helps admin know precisely what to spend the time on.

Many times important information may be missed due to several versions of surname listing.
A search of alternative surname spellings should be performed during research for each subject.
Every tree pages header has a hover-balloon with known variations that may be a useful search tool.
